Did you know that July 4th is Liberation Day in Rwanda. It was the day the Rwandan Patriotic Army captured power and ended the 1994 Rwanda genocide against the Tutsi ethnic group.

I have to admit I just learnt about this today. 🤦🏾‍♀️

It is Windrush day today in the UK and no words can express the sacrifices this generation made on their voyages to the UK. The Windrush generation refers to people arriving in the UK between 1948 and 1971 from Caribbean islands to fill post-war UK labour shortages. The ship that docked in Tilbury in 1948 was called MV Empire Windrush.
