I'm super excited to be joining Under the Tree exhibition at MAKE Southwest for another year! 🎄✨

Under the Tree is MAKE Southwest's annual exhibition of handmade gifts from makers across the UK, and it's such a gorgeous, sustainable alternative to online shopping. I'm over the moon to be exhibiting alongside so many other talented handmade artists. And thanks to the team behind the scenes for all their support and feedback during these exhibitions, as it has helped us finesse which colour palettes are a hit in Devon!

Told you folks something exciting was coming! 🎉

Over the moon to announce that By Chand will be taking over a beautiful pop-up space in central Edinburgh this December!

Set within a community of makers, creatives and artisan businesses, shop.withnoname offers the ideal setting to shop independently and discover unique gifts. I cannot wait to make the space my own and fill it with colour! And for six whole days too!

You'll be able to shop the full By Chand collection in person, explore pieces up close, discover new favourites by experimenting with new colour ways, and find unique gifts just in time for Christmas! There will still be time to place commissions ahead of Christmas too so it’ll be the ideal time to come find some colourful inspiration!

Well… turns out it wasn’t the end of By Chand after all, just a long hiatus was very much needed 🧶✨

As some of you may have noticed, I’ve been quietly plugging away in the background. A HUGE thank you to everyone who continued to place orders, and a special big thank you to all of the amazing By Chand stockists who continued to support me while I was at my most frazzled! ❤️

This next chapter of By Chand is bringing with it a few new ways of working. I’m saying goodbye to markets, but you’ll still be able to find By Chand in shops nationwide. I’m also moving to a made-to-order model, so please allow 1–2 weeks making time for your orders.

And there’s even more exciting news on the horizon! Keep your eyes peeled — more on that coming in October!! 👀

That's it folks! By Chand is wrapping up. It's been equal amounts of a beautiful journey as well as a stressful journey. But onto the next chapter!! I'll be running a closing down sale until stock gets snapped up. Currently all wool and macrame cord is half price, so crafters get buying! I'll add to stories and the clearance sale tab as and when I get ready made stock on the website.

I'll forever be grateful for all the cheerleading and amazing reviews. You guys have truly been the best and I'll always look back at that time with pride with how much I achieved! So thank you!! 💖

Aaaaaaand that's the final order posted which means that's us wrapped up for another year!!

Thank you to everyone who bought By Chand designs this year and for all the messages of love and kindness whilst I navigated a very tumultuous year behind the scenes! I was worried the big move and losing my spot at my regular markets would have a big impact on sales but you guys came up trumps!

I'll be slowing down on social media for a while as I'm hanging up the needles and swapping them for DIY tools as we begin renovating our new home. We're going BOLD in true By Chand style so I'll either butcher the house or make it our dream home. Watch this space! I'll be documenting it all over at .chand.home.interior.edition!

We'll still be taking orders and we'll be back in February at in the Assembly rooms! And look out for a clearance sale of discontinued materials early in the new year!

Under The Tree is an Arts Council England funded exhibition of craft, handmade by a multitude of UK-based designer-makers. The curation includes enticing collections in a variety of disciplines for your Christmas shopping.

With an informal, craft fair vibe, Under the Tree provides a welcoming and festive shopping experience for Christmas gifts. The show offers a fantastic variety of craft disciplines in small scale batch production alongside one-off unique pieces.

It is a great opportunity for people to buy quality handmade gifts by talented craftspeople and an inspiring alternative to the high street and online shopping.
