As the architect and designer Charles Eames said, "The details are not the details. They make the design". Over the years we've woven countless thoughtful details into our designs: fabric covered buttons that quietly elevate, custom belts that bring a look together and our favourite, specially commissioned embroidery that adds a touch of magic to every finished piece.

And then the subtle details. Not necessarily seen, but appreciated by the
wearer and noticed by the onlooker: a corseted bodice giving the perfect fit, sumptuous luxurious fabrics, soft draping that follows the form and flatters the body, and of course we can't forget ever popular dress pockets!

We've known Fiona for some time and were delighted when she asked us to create her outfit for a very special occasion, her son's wedding this August.

Fiona tried on a few styles and said she would like a dress and coat which could be worn again, together or separately, after the wedding.

When Fiona tried our "ice blue" Malhia tweed coat, she fell in love with everything about it. We've waxed lyrical about this specially commissioned fabric before and how the metallic blue & silver yarns catch the light and shimmer so beautifully. We adapted the coat design for Fiona, adding a curved Chinese style collar, edged with lustrous leather binding.

This combined perfectly with a custom "Lottie" dress, made in a navy Italian wool crepe. Seeing the photos from the special day, we love how the petals of Fiona's Lottie dress pop out from under her coat, and her dress took centre stage when post wedding party celebrations began in earnest - but a lighter tweed comes in handy when the dancing is over and it's time to call it a night

We've enjoyed collaborating with super-stylist on many occasions, and it was inevitable that she'd look stunning in our monochrome fringed dress.

The simplicity of the black and white striped fabric, with its subtle black lurex eyelashes was a must-have for Allison, and she let the stripes do the talking in the simple design.

The dress was cut in one, forming chevrons at the back, and the finishing touches were a tasseled belt and black fringing at the hem.

Sarah wore the dress to judge the champion style awards and styled it effortlessly (of course) with a perfect vintage cape, Gucci boots and a turban hat by Sarah

We were contacted by Janet, as she wished to discuss dress ideas for an
event at the end of May. The event transpired to be a very special
occasion, her daughter's wedding in the stunning setting of Sicily. Janet had a clear vision: a bold, statement piece in a striking shade of red.

The design was an understated simple sheath dress, with a thigh high vent, featuring a fine gauze front yoke, partly covered by an elegant 'cape / tails'. We chose a luxurious Italian satin back crepe, knowing that it would fall effortlessly and exude glamour. The striking colour
and cut combined to make a strong and elegant look.

We absolutely loved seeing this image of Janet wearing her dress at her daughter's wedding, noticing how the satin caught the light under the Sicilian sun and flowed in the breeze. We really enjoyed making Janet's vision a reality and we're sure you'll agree that she made an incredibly
glamorous Mother of the Bride
