Cool, Young and Fresh clothing inspired by Bangladesh

Rukia is British Bangladeshi, graduating from the London College of Communications (UAL). Her specialism is print and pattern design along with fashion design - her explorations through design now include understanding her cultural roots of Bangladesh - her collections are thus inspired from Bangladesh and its diverse heritage, and she aspires to engage further with this by drawing her inspiration

from Bengal’s rich cultural heritage. Rukia’s passion is to work with skilled artisans in Bangladesh and using bangladeshi materials as she is critically aware of the need to sustain and develop and innovate with the holders of the traditions and cultures. Rukia’s vision of pattern is that, it should not be left to look just nice, it should have an impact, allowing us to engage with another world, one that represents Rukia’s creative process. Rukia recently featured her label at the prestigious Oitij-jo Festival 2013, and the Alchemy Festival at the Southbank Centre. As an up-and-coming designer, her versatility and repertoire of skills working with print and patterns means she is one to watch out for!

It's been so long since i've been able to put time back into . I welcomed my first child and became a teacher, didn't think i would see the day i relaunched the brand as life went in its course. Thank you .fashion for giving me the opportunity to relaunch and give life back to the prints using my favourite printing technique, screen printing.

Screenprinting has my heart when it comes to printing due to its magic that it creates when you add multiple layers and colours.
