Throw Me Down is an independent British company that focusses on sourcing eco-friendly fabrics that not only benefit the environment but also have a positive impact on those producing the fabrics. At Throw Me Down we understand the importance of high quality, low impact fabrics. Our responsibly sourced fabrics include 100% organic cotton canvas and recycled cotton canvas. Sturdy cotton canvas give

s our aprons longevity with metal and leather detailing adding an industrial feel. Our leather comes either from factory off-cuts which would otherwise go to landfill, or vegetable-tanned leather for longer pieces like our apron straps. We’re making a difference, one apron at a time!

It’s been a minute since I’ve posted anything here and I finally feel that it’s time to offer an explanation as I’ve had several people ask if Throw Me Down is still going
Yesterday marked three months since we lost my dearest dad. It’s been a bit of a tough slog, meaning that I decided to take a major step back from Throw Me Down. Grief is a strange thing and for me it meant that I was unable to focus when working alone but I’ve come to the point where I’m ready to take back the reins, be it in a more limited capacity
I’ll still be working on smaller orders but will no longer be attending any markets but who knows, perhaps this will change. I’ll be making some changes to the website and posting some new products soon and would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support 🤍

I’m so excited to announce that I’ll be hosting not one but two leather card holder workshops at as part of !
I’m so excited at the prospect of hosting workshops again, especially in the beautiful setting that is the library in Inhabit, Queen’s Gardens

Last weekend’s was my very first market of 2022 and what a lovely event it was!

Throw Me Down at How To Basically
I recently made some recycled cotton aprons for the fab new venture in mid Sussex, and here they are hanging outside the newly-opened workshop
How To Basically teach a whole range of practical life skills, with their philosophy based around the concept of reduce, reuse, recycle and repair - absolutely brilliant!
Whether you’d like to brush up on your power drill skills, learn how to maintain your car, or even dip your toe into some basic plumbing, you should definitely check them out!
