Victorian Mahogany Library Steps.
A fine set of Victorian mahogany library steps, of the classic form used in the libraries and studies of country houses throughout the period.
The three graduating steps are each fitted with original green leather treads, gilt-tooled with a double-rule border and corner motifs.
The sides are elegantly shaped with a scrolled ogee profile, raised on turned feet.
Circa 1850-1880.
Victorian Mr. Punch Doorstop Figure.
Finely cast with characteristic hooked nose, laurel wreath, Roman tunic and Toby the dog at his feet, raised on a stepped rectangular plinth base.
Good original patina. A decorative and collectable piece appealing to both Punch & Judy enthusiasts and lovers of Victorian brass.
