Sam, like many this year, had lovely sunshine for her wedding. Not the U.K. though, this is Ibiza.

Sam’s dress needed a fair bit of adjustment though as she is so petite. So taking in the bodice, snd the sleeves and taking up the length.
This also meant some head scratching on my part to make the lace insert sit at the right spot for her.
It’s all worth it when I see those lovely photos

More lovely photos. I never get tired of seeing my lovely brides on such a special occasion.

Rachel is a close friend of one of my brides from a couple of years ago, so we had a bonus catch up during fittings, especially as theirs a new baby to talk about.

Rachel’s dress needed bodice and length adjustments, but also she really wanted sleeves adding. Unfortunately we were unable to source matching lace from the designer as it was a discontinued style.
We had lots of samples but either the style or colour of the lace wasn’t right.
Eventually we hit on the plan of this style with a trim that matched much better than an all over lace.
This why bridal alterations take time. Not only the sewing, and multiple fittings, but time to get samples and check against the actual dress.

It was lovely to get the call from Jade asking me to do the alterations on her wedding gown. I’ve known Jade and Aidan for a long time so it was real honour to be asked
Bodice taken in, dress shortened and bustle added.
Isn’t that veil cape stunning!

Edit to make the photos show up better. I don’t normally crop or change photos but they were just not playing nicely

What a gorgeous destination wedding in Montenego for Becky, her new husband and a little plus one 😍

Alterations for wedding dresses when the bride is pregnant is done that needs careful planning.
Fitting dates are compressed and a bit of best guessing is required.

Looking lovely in the sunshine todays photos come from Andreia.
Unusually Andreia’s dress was completed some months ahead of the wedding, at the brides request. Usually I start alterations around 8 weeks before the wedding date, but where the bride prefers it, and time allows, I’m happy to do them early.

The fabulous thing about weddings theses days is the vast amount of choice available to make about you and who you are.
Sam and her partner are looking amazing on their special day.
Sam’s alterations were the bodice and straps, no adjustment to length needed :)
