What's been happeing this week at PT Designs. Well I took a tumble form the back doorstep and twisted my knee. Thankfully nothing serious. I will just be hobbling around for a bit.

I am busy moving my website to a different provider. Still a work in progress and both sites are running together. Let me know what you think of the new site. Link is in the first comment 🙂

I have a new mug design to add, but I can't decide which one I like better. Would love to know which you prefer ☺️

Hello, I don’t think I’ve done this before, so it’s about time I introduce myself properly.

I’m Tanya, the face behind Purple Turquoise Designs. I’m based in Northern Ireland, and I spend my free time on evenings and weekends designing custom mugs, tees, and totes. Most of my design work is done at the kitchen table, and I use a UK-based Print on Demand company to print and ship all my designs.

Having a full-time job means life is busy, but getting creative is a good way to unwind and make things that bring a little joy to your day—and maybe a little extra pocket money to buy the yarn for my crochet 😂

When I’m not designing new products, you can usually find me out in the garden trying to keep the slugs away from my tomatoes and peppers in the spring and summer. Come autumn and winter, you will find me freezing on the side of the rugby pitch.

I'd love to get to know you better, too. Let me know—where are you in the world, and what's your favourite way to unwind?

(photo is my workspace and I am organising my designs to set up on my new website, coming soon 🙂)

Morning routines are pretty sacred, aren't they?

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about how the little things can completely shift our mindset for the day ahead. For me, it starts the moment I pick out my morning mug. There is just something about a bright splash of colour and a gentle reminder to "Make Today Amazing" that makes that first sip of coffee taste even better. Even better if I can relax in the garden while sipping

My favourite part of designing this line was choosing the contrast colours—you can pick the inner lining and handle colour to match your own vibe (the turquoise and purple are my favourites - no surprise there lol!

I’d love to know—what does your ideal morning look like? Are you an early riser who loves a quiet house, or do you need a full mug of coffee before anyone speaks to you? Let me know how you do mornings in the comments.

Have a great day. Let's make it amazing!

"Crochet More, Worry Less."

I designed this "Crochet More, Worry Less" organic tote bag because, let’s be honest, yarn is the ultimate stress relief. For so many of us, picking up our hooks isn't just a hobby—it's how we unwind, decompress, and find a little quiet in a busy week.

(If you didn't already know I also crochet - Purple Turquoise Crochet)

I wanted to create a dedicated craft bag that carries that exact reminder wherever you take your projects. It’s made from a durable organic cotton and is ready to be packed full with your favourite yarn.

It also makes a lovely, thoughtful gift for the yarn lover in your life who uses their craft to find a bit of calm.

👇 I’d love to know: Where is your absolute favourite, most peaceful spot to sit and craft?
