What a fabulous day sewing up the Multi-Purpose Organiser Bag - aka the Lisbon Organiser at Janome!

Seeing all the different colours and prints come together never fails to excite me…I honestly didn’t want to part with any of them 😂

We had hot drinks on tap and plenty of food to keep us going, the perfect setup for a full day of sewing and creativity.

Thank you so much to everyone who joined, you made it such a special day. And thank you Gail for the delicious treat (The brownies were delicious!).

This was the second sold-out session of this workshop, and bringing a design I created two years ago into a real, hands-on experience like this has been such a meaningful milestone.

I’ve also had quite a few requests for kits, so I’ll be putting together a limited number with everything you need to make the bag (all cut and ready to go).

The Lisbon Organiser pattern is finally here! ❤️

After 2 years of keeping it to myself, I’m so excited to finally share it with you.

This bag is really special to me , it’s the pattern that made me realise that if I truly put my mind to something, I can make it happen. And now… you get to make it too.

I ran two sold-out workshops for this bag and everyone loved the bag. Seeing so many of you making it and being proud of what you created - that’s when I knew it was ready.

It was a pleasure having J in my home studio today!

We have worked out a 6-week course plan for her to build up her sewing skills and become confident at it.

This weeks project was a tote bag.

We drafted a lined tote bag from scratch based on a size she envisioned and then went to work.

We learnt how to cut fabric on the correct grain, sew in a straight line, make fabric handles, backstitching, sew in a lining and topstitching.

J should be very proud of herself because she did a fantastic job at her first big project ever!

Feels like forever since our last meet! ❤️

It was so good catching up with everyone and seeing half the group deep into their Sewn at Midnight Gala outfits. (fun fact: I’m definitely not the only one running fashionably late with the outfit)

This is exactly why I love these events; You come for the sewing, but leave with way more inspiration (and motivation) than you expected.

Thank you so much for coming today, it was lovely seeing you all and catching up over tea and cake.

The next time I see some of you will be at the gala…💃

Today was all about sewing, creativity, and good company!

From mending projects to gala outfit making, festival wear, and getting summer-ready with dresses and skirts - there was a little bit of everything on the tables today! (And yes…even a guinea pig stuffed toy made an appearance 🐹)

Lots of laughs, plenty of catching up, and so lovely to see familiar faces.

This is exactly what Sew&Bond™ is all about: creating, sharing, community and enjoying the process together.
