Wow what a wild ride the last 4 years have been! This little brand was born out of Trump’s election and the terrifying rise of hate and intolerance we saw all over the world. 2020 has been a lot and whilst we’ve taken a bit of an extended break, we couldn’t let this moment pass without comment. We are elated, relieved and reinvigorated by hope! Congrats to America! Congrats to the world! The tide is turning and unity, diversity, science and compassion are making a comeback. There’s a lot of work to do, especially here in the U.K. but for the first time in a long time we really are hopeful 💛

Another incredible women wearing our tee ✊ Nadia is one of the best people we know and has taken care of my parent’s during this awful pandemic, she’s been there to get there shopping and have a socially distanced garden wine as we live so far away! Thanks for supporting them and supporting us with this charity tee!

Thank you to everyone who has bought one of our tees! We’ve not had time to really “market” them this week and we’re feeling a bit out of practice when it comes to instagram.. but you’ve blown us away with your generosity. The first load of orders went out at the end of last week so hopefully some of you have got them by now. Here’s me wearing mine today, standing next to some daisies and looking mildly uncomfortable.

Sizes are pretty limited and size S is already sold out in white. All profits going to .

To say there is a lot going on in the world at the moment is a massive fu***ng understatement. There is so much to fight for and our strength really is in unity. Unity in the fight against racism, homophobia, transphobia and sexism. Unity in the fight to protect our planet. Unity against s**tty governments who don’t represent us. John Boyaga absolutely nailed it in a recent tweet: Unity is a Super Power they don’t want us to unlock.

Full disclosure, during a lockdown clear out we found a box of blank tees and we wanted to do some good with them. The stock behind this tee is pretty limited and in a totally random size run but we’re donating 100% profits to U.K. Black Pride.

We’ll be back on our upcycle range as soon as we can get our kid back to nursery and get some time back ✌️

We couldn’t make it to march today but we have spent the day making this sign for our window and talking about what it means. We stand in solidarity with all those protesting in Manchester and all around the world. It has been incredible to see the world unite against racism. There is strength in unity but only if we stay united. It’s everyone’s responsibility to be anti-racist and to take action. To protest in whatever way we can. To donate if we are able. To educate ourselves and those around us. To feel uncomfortable and have challenging conversations. To listen. This has to be the start of something, a turning point, not just another high profile case that we all get behind and then move on from. It’s up to us to keep the momentum going. Together.

We’ve spent the weekend, like I imagine you have; angry, heartbroken but sadly not shocked. The murder of George Floyd is a deeply shocking act, but it’s not shocking that it happened in a society that has allowed racism to continue to infect our lives. I keep seeing people post this quote and I sure as s**t can’t think of anything better to say. We all have to take responsibility here. Stand together and make our voices heard. We thought we were doing enough by “not being racists”. We’re not. We thought we fully understood our privilege. We don’t. That’s why we’re back on here talking to our tiny audience, reading more, educating ourselves, having uncomfortable conversations and donating. And we won’t stop.

Happy Earth Day!
I hope you’re all safe and looking after yourselves 💛
How is everyone coping 4 weeks into staying at home? I’ve definitely been up and down. It’s hard having Cece at home all day while trying to work my day job and find time for the new Everything’s Sweet range.
One thing I am enjoying is the slower pace. My day usually starts at 5.55 with an hours commute, a gym session, a full day at work and an hours commute home 🤮 Now it starts at 7.30 with Cece coming into our bed for a cuddle (sometimes we manage a zoom PT or yoga video). I love being able to eat lunch with my family and go for a walk in the sun, rather than scoffing lunch at my desk and barely seeing the light of day. I even love having the time to put a wash on.
Yes, I miss my family, friends and colleagues like crazy and feel like a terrible parent when Cece wants to play super hero’s again and don’t have time or just can’t face it, but I can’t imagine going back to the 5.55 start. I don’t want to go back to driving 2 hours every day. I don’t want to go back to seeing my daughter for 1 hour a day. I don’t want to go back to the rat race pace of the broken capitalist economy. The point is, and I hope we’re all learning this, we can all do with much less. If anyone else has had a clear out and is repulsed by the amount of s**t that you never use, that you spent money on, that someone made, wasted energy on, just to sit on top of your fu***ng fridge, then you know this.
I’m looking forward to the future but I don’t want to get “back to normality”. I want this time to inspire real change.
Mother Earth is living her best life at the moment. Us slowing down is giving her time to recover and might just hold the answer for us living happily together for the foreseeable 🌍
