Handmade by Clare I've been knitting/sewing/crocheting items for over 50 years for myself, my 3 children and recently for my 8 grandchildren. I am mum to 3 and Nana to 8.

In July 2016 I created the page ‘Handmade by Clare’ to show items made and for enquires about ordering items. I've been knitting for over 45 years for family, friends, shops and charity. Have just come back from a mini break with friends near Wigton in Cumbria with a trip to Gretna Green.
Managed to do some more of the hexagon cardigan for one of my granddaughters and started an order for a pink cardigan which will be having a sheep on the front.

I had one of my granddaughters who’s 6 over for the day this week to do some ‘crafting’. She saw a hexagon cardigan I was working on and I got the ‘nana can I have one’. I took her to my local wool shop and let her pick the wool she wanted and this is what she chose. It’s definitely colourful!

I’ve just got back from a mini break in Northumberland, an area I’d love to explore more. Of course I took some knitting with me, this set which is first sized I’ve knitted for display in my local wool shop. It’s a brand new yarn called dot dot dash and it’s lovely and soft along with a plain pink which is one of my favourite yarns. Orders welcome, please message me for more details.
