Lusso Creating award winning cycle clothing since 1982. Sustainable as standard. Handmade in Manchester,UK

The business was started in 1982 by John Harrison who was at the time a clothing designer and ex international racing cyclist along with his wife Dorothy who was a sewing machinest. After John's frustration in trying to find a comfortable pair of cycling shorts he decided together they would design something more comfortable than the average shorts with the window cleaners rock hard chamois. 30 years later we are still manufacturing in the UK producing a full range of technical, wicking, breathable, windproof and waterproof garments from the racing to the leisure cyclist.

Episode 4: The fit
Getting the fit right for our clothing isn’t guesswork.
Every new product goes through multiple rounds of fitting, tweaking, and refining before it ever reaches production.
In this fit session, Nicole is wearing the third sample of our new women’s jersey and bib shorts while we assess how it fits in the riding position. Every crease, loose area, and point of tension is marked and pinned so we can make adjustments back at the factory. During this session, we realised a side panel wasn’t improving the fit, so we removed it to create a cleaner, more comfortable jersey. Small changes like this are what make all the difference during development.
It’s a slower way of developing products, but it’s how we create cycling kit that’s designed to perform on the bike—not just look good on a hanger.
This is just one step in the journey of developing our new women’s range.

Performance without the premium price tag.

We’ve just restocked, but if previous launches are anything to go by, they won’t be around for long.

This is our Perform Bib Shorts, and here’s a little about them and how they’re made.

This is the cutting stage, where each panel is precision cut before making its way through production here in our factory.

We’ve kept the colour palette timeless with Black, Petrol Blue and Slate Grey, because great kit should still look good season after season.

You’ll also spot the cut-out in the rear bib panel. It’s a simple detail that improves airflow without adding extra materials, helping keep you cooler on long rides.

Small details. Thoughtful design. Made in Britain.
