A hard to find and highly collectible vintage Stratton powder compact which is presented with the original accessories.

The makers described this compact in their 1959 catalogue as follows:

F.M. 545/304

A Vintage Car design-a motley of old-time motor cars

in colour casually displayed on a white enamel background. 3" dia.*

*The makers did tend to round up the diameters.

This compact measures 7.4 cm diameter. Weighs 91.1 grams.

No enamel loss or fading.

Gleaming clean.

No powder residue.

The colours are as vibrant as they were in the 1950s.

The brass is gilded and lacquered and so it will not tarnish or require cleaning.

All clasps and hinges work perfectly.

The mirror gives a good and accurate reflection.

The mirror compact is signed STRATTON MADE IN ENGLAND.

Excellent condition!

This Stratton Corona compact has not been used with face powder.

This highly ornate solid was crafted by the esteemed goldsmith W. H. Collins & Co.

This antique locket was assayed* (tested for gold purity*) at Birmingham Assay Office in 1909.

The anterior surface features a shield shaped cartouche topped by two ferns.

These central motifs are framed by acanthus leaves and forget-me-not flowers.
