We often share dramatic size reductions, but sizing up a bridal gown is just as technical, if not even more challenging.
People often ask why we say weβd rather size a gown down than up. The reason is simple: when sizing down, we have excess fabric to work with. When sizing up, fabric is often extremely limited, especially when we donβt have access to the designerβs original fabric.
In cases like this, every panel has to be carefully re-engineered to maintain the brides proportions, fit, and silhouette. Sometimes that means recutting and reshaping existing panels, manipulating every millimetre of available fabric, and relying purely on technical skill and couture craftsmanship.
