Hi Margate Pride community.

We hope you’re all enjoying the festival of events so far.

We just wanted to send a small reminder that we are a very small team of 5 folks, working part time on limited funding to put on a Pride Festival with multiple events for thousands of people - locals and visitors.

We got married!!!! 🫠🫠🫠🥹🥹
It’s been an overwhelming few weeks to say the least ♥️ (well chuffed with the husband tho)
We got hitched and that then saw us hop off on honeymoon for a bit, so now I have a million photos of the whole few weeks and don’t know where to start but I can’t wait to share with you all !! God I learned some lessons about my own wedding but god I LOVE styling events and tablescapes!!!!

Magical mama on her wedding day when I was little - she made her dress, my flower girl dress and the bridesmaids dresses worn by my Aunties.

What a fairy 🧚‍♀️ she was pure magic!!! I love you Mum and I’m gutted you’re not here for this very special time. We’ve had lots of lovely people look after us through this planning and time, and are so very grateful. Mama’s magic is working in mysterious ways through the hearts of very good people we are lucky enough to know.

P.S I knew my stepdad wasn’t the one because I cut my own fringe off in the morning and cried all day in a pair of uncomfortable shoes 🫠

It’s all a bit bonkers here which is why I have been COMPLETELY awol!!! My mum bought me a sewing machine about 8 years ago and I swore I would never need it as she did all my makes and repairs for me 🫠 well…. whatdya know she was right ✨🙌 and I’ve gone through about 5 needles on this since making everything for our wedding- it’s not perfect or straight but it’s together at least 😂😂 I’ve spent time hand sewing on the beach, making our rings with Fitzgerald Jewellers, bejewelling cutlery completely stolen from Sheree Millington | Colourful Interiors & Lifestyle , getting the last of Italian week at Lidl, nipping to France for wine, attempting to make a veil, and making memories with wonderful friends alongside many many other things I’ve decided to try to do for the big day!

Now according to everyone else wedding wise at the moment, I’m off to bury a sausage and pay an Etsy witch to get glorious sunshine?!? 🌞

Wake me up when it’s all over and I can think about anything other than this!! It’s bloody beautiful though and I’m very lucky thommydonuts has put up with all my s**t so far………

It’s WEDDING MONTH 🫠🫠🫣🫣🥹🥹
Well that’s come around quickly…..

It will be what it is at this point, I cannot sew anymore 😂😂 bring on sunshine, good people, good food. and a nice day out for everyone! I have been basically MIA on here doing a million jobs other than vintage and doing everything for our big day too ♥️♥️ thankyou for still being here!!! I’m so excited to get back handpicking for you all in the summer ✨🌀🌞🐚🎀♥️💫🍸

I’ve also kept SO much for all my wedding design private from here so I’m also excited to share it all afterwards!!! 🪩🪩🪩

Your world changes when you lose someone and everyday is a new version of who you are. Things hurt more, sting more and your boundaries are fiercer than ever before. You’re always learning, always growing and always trying. Some days are easier than others and sometimes, just for a little while, you park the pain in your bones and enjoy life.

It doesn’t matter if it’s years ago, or last year, the pain exists in people you love who are climbing this mountain every single day. It’s about days you’ve lost with them, the time you call for their voicemail and the number has been completely disconnected meaning the last try, really was the last try. It’s a club you never opted to be a member of, yet the clubcard is a permanent weight in your chest.
