.....hi, it's been a while 🤭 I didn't mean to disappear for that long. My intention was to take a little break, strip it all back to basics and then get back to it. In reality, I logged out 12 months ago and proceeded to ghost my own creation 💀 And WHO CARES, RIGHT? What is all of this if it doesn't provide even a modicum of joy anymore?! Working in a field that requires constant flouting of your own dignity (and sanity) to become 'successful' is such a bizarre, somber downfall of civilisation and I was slowly losing my mind trying to part of it. I stopped and the freedom hit me like a tonne of bricks. I started RUNNING?! I read nearly 40 books?! I got a new job, a very fulfilling, very varied job. A job that requires me to teach, problem solve, set up stages, make costumes, perform in a panto (?!), first aid, provide comfort, write press releases...walk 10,000+ steps a day! Freedom was owning what I wanted, not what others thought I could achieve. I want quiet. And steady. And less. Fully leaning into this while I continue to make for the love of making, like making this festive dress to match the one I had when I was 2 👍🏻 So if you want to stay, I'm probably going to use this space as a creative outlet from here on in. Might sell makes through Vinted. Might show you how to make things without patterns. Might learn to knit this year. Might disappear again for another 6 months ❤️ Big love & thanks for all your support over those 9 years, I probably need to rename this page?!
