The Rusty Crab is an independent menswear shop in the lovely coastal town of Maryport, Cumbria.

We are open 9.30am-4.30pm Tuesday to Saturday, and closed Sunday and Monday. We have over 20 different brands from all over the UK and Europe.

The Rusty Crab has you covered for Fathers Day! We're fully stocked in the top quality light blue Claudio Lugli shorts! We've got two more colours in the Cashmere Touch quarter zips of yellow and baby blue to compliment our three other colours. We've got the amazing quality British made Peper Harow socks in Egyptian cotton or Supima cotton, retro OddBalls designs, wallets, hats, baseball caps, soaps, handkerchiefs...and don't forget the amazing Dirty Velvet t-shirts....especially the Three Lions!

The Rusty Crab is stocked up on some more amazing King Kerosin caps, and we've managed to grab ourselves a few more bergundy workers jackets from France to compliment the few blue, green, sand & beige that we have in stock!

The Rusty Crab has the fantastic Custi Mikelo linen tapered trousers in stock in both navy and beige....these started selling before I had them out the packaging! We're also fully stocked up on OddBalls including the amazing crabs!

NEWS FLASH!! The Rusty Crab has expanded into Keswick!!! We endured the rain and wind for our first day yesterday! We have a large stall every Thursday and Saturday and we're back there tomorrow for a bit more rain! Our flagship shop The Rusty Crab, Maryport is open as usual from Tuesday to Saturday so please feel free to pop in and say hi to our new local staff member Taylor, who will be working while I'm in Keswick!

We've also just had some fantastic new deliveries to the shop, including three new Claudio Lugli short sleeve shirts (two are linen) and two new Dirty Velvet designs to add to the biggest stockist in the North of England's collection!

Yesterday while hunting down The Borrowdale Yews on the perimeter of Derwentwater I witnessed some people filming what appeared to be a 'music video'. They looked so snazzy. I decided then and there that I want to look cool too! This morning I shelved my 1815 Volume 1 Poems By William Wordsworth as I've had enough of him banging on about 'intertwined fibres'. Instead I'm here, a man stood in front of you, asking you to make him cool?"

We've also just had an amazing delivery of King Kerosin tees, and these are much cooler than William Wordsworths 'Huge Trunks'! We've also got a fantastic array of bags made from recycled rice sacks!"

Firstly, a massive congratulations to Michelle at our sister shop The Three Frogs Maryport for winning the best independent retailer 2026 in North Cumbria!!!! Wow, you've done amazingly!

Secondly, there also might be something brewing at The Rusty Crab in the next week! 🤔🤫🤗🤗🤗🤗

Joe Browns has also just dropped off some amazing new stock at the The Rusty Crab!! We've got a new green blazer, supercool waistcoast, shirts and tees.....they look amazing!

The Rusty Crab has had some fantastic new deliveries! Wolf Clothing Collective have just delivered their amazing chalk blue chore jacket, as worn by Ant! This complements our other 5 colours! We're also stocked up on their great grandad collar shirts....and now up to 4XL. Custi Mikelo have brought out an amazing linen shirt and pink polo. Claudio Lugli have done it again with their amazing white short sleeve with coloured pleat and we're stocked up to a 5XL.

The applicant must have good communication skills, and experience in working within a retail environment would be advantageous.
