Now I know you all like to see shop stuff and pretty new shoes and the like on our feed, but today I thought I’d share something deeper.
A lot of people think running is something you can either do or can’t, we believe that everyone can.
The trouble with running it’s hard. It’s always hard. Yes we have good runs and bad runs, but fundamentally, it’s hard.
We see huge numbers of load go through the body and that’s obviously what we try and manage when we fit you with shoes but it’s still a hard sport.
Working at it consistently takes time to achieve results. It’s not an overnight thing.
I’ve shared my journey with some of you in fittings about my first run where I struggled to run 800m.
But there’s two things I’m sharing with you today. One is a quote I stole from a friends socials which I find very powerful and one everyone who wants to see progression need to take in. The second is the ‘Althlete Intelligence’ that Strava put up following Manchester Marathon yesterday that actually took me aside and reminded me how hard I have to work to do what I do.
So here they are.
Keep going. It’s not about today and tomorrow, but both of those add up to the future today’s and tomorrow’s.
I’m now going to let my broken body repair before going again.
