We're bringing Swap Society to Threads and Thingz in The Shires, Trowbridge for Sustainable September and I’d love to see you there.

It’s part clothing swap, part social, part Y2K throwback. Think crop tops, b**b tubes, denim, leather, cargo trousers, baby tees, mini skirts and all the early 2000s energy.

Bring your preloved pieces, swap them for new-to-you finds and hang out with us for the morning.

SUSTAINABLE SEPTEMBER 🌱

September is a good reminder that sustainability doesn't have to mean changing everything. It's about making better choices where we can.

That's why we're so excited to be partnering with Bowood for their Sustainable September event on 20 September.
And for us, preloved is a huge part of that conversation. Keeping clothes in use for longer means getting more value from the resources already used to make them, rather than constantly demanding new ones.

5 facts worth knowing:
β€’ Textiles have the fourth highest environmental and climate impact of EU consumption categories.
European Parliament
β€’ EU consumers generate around 5.2 million tonnes of clothing and footwear waste every year.

β€’ Only around 1% of clothing material is recycled into new clothing, showing why reuse matters so much.

β€’ Making clothes uses huge amounts of water, raw materials, energy and chemicals, so keeping an existing garment in use can avoid some of the impacts associated with making a replacement.

β€’ Repairing, reusing, swapping and buying preloved all help extend the life of clothing and reduce waste.

You don't have to stop buying new. Just wear what already exists for longer. Swap it. Share it. Repair it. Pass it on.

This Sustainable September, Bowood has invited Swap Society to host a clothing swap as part of The September Social, in collaboration with TEMPLESPA.

Join us on Sunday 20 September for an afternoon of preloved style, self-care and Sunday socialising, with music, a welcome drink, canapΓ©s, TEMPLESPA and our rails of impeccable preloved pieces to browse and swap.

Make an afternoon of it at Bowood, refresh your wardrobe and enjoy a little self-care along the way.
