Isn't it strange how sometimes the best and worst days of your life can collide - and therein provides a little balance and hope. Well, a couple of days go this was so. The 17th Aug was ofcourse the day that Donald left us and the enormity, ever reaching impact and everlasting change to our lives was, as ever, present. The loss never appeased. It just is. But it was also a day with enormous pride, joy and really beautiful people. Which he would have delighted in.

And so...Maroon and Green can only mean one thing in Edinburgh - the Jambos or the Hibees lol. The rivalry part of our heritage. I was asked to create two bespoke cape - jackets, in Harris Tweed, with an embroidered textile to accompany the fabulous Exhibition 'Dyed in the Wool' at Dundas Street Gallery, Edinburgh. It celebrates 150yrs of the Hearts and Hibs, is clever, amusing and brilliant. And so i did. There was an opening for friends and family Sunday and it was amazing and quite unreal!

Running from 16th to 25th August. Venue 256. Pop in and have a look, chat and wee bit culture with Davy MacDonald, Contemporary Artist.
