Come and join me this August in Leicestershire for a creative day out!

Experience the magic of wet felting. Create your own design in wool and silk fibres, play with colours and textures and then watch them all felt together using just soap and water!

​📍 Location: St Mary Magdalene Church, Waltham on the Wolds, Leicestershire
​✨ What you'll make: Your own gorgeous seascape using wool, yarns, and plant fibers.

Such a fabulous day! 3 lovely ladies all creating small bags.

Due to severely strained neck and shoulder muscles, I've not been able to felt bags for almost a year. So it was fantastic to be creating bags again today. And these 3 ladies did a stirling job! Using a mixture of Corriedale wool, merino, Teeswater locks and a little silk fibre, they worked really hard and produced some beautiful pieces! Mine is still waiting to be finished.

Thank you ladies for being such great company and for working so hard. I can't wait to see them dry!

Join me tomorrow The Old Lock Up Gallery - commercial art gallery Cromford, Matlock for the opening of the K**a Muta exhibition. 2-5pm. So thrilled to have 2 pieces in the exhibition and very excited to see all the other exhibits first hand. The exhibition is on until 1st August though so don't worry if you can't make tomorrow. There's plenty of opportunity to see it. Check the gallery website for opening times.

Just 3 places left!

Explore the ancient art of Wet Felting and create a beautiful piece of textile art using wool, silk and plant fibres. Join me on 19th July at Croxton Kerrial village hall., Leicestershire for a relaxing but fun day designing your own landscape. Learn how to lay out different types of wool fleece to sculpt hills and meadows, bushes and trees. Add touches of plant and silk fibre to create detail, then using just soap and water, experience the alchemy of wet felting as all the loose fibres become a firm fabric. No experience is necessary and all materials are provided.

Delighted to have a second picture accepted for this exhibition. (Last minute entry on my part!). 'Shifting Gold was one I made last autumn. The feelings of being surrounded by all that colour and moving, flickering sunlight, definitely fits the brief. Do go if you get a chance. It's in Cromford, Derbyshire, a beautiful part of the country with some great walks which I can't wait to explore! 😊
