Delighted to have a second picture accepted for this exhibition. (Last minute entry on my part!). 'Shifting Gold was one I made last autumn. The feelings of being surrounded by all that colour and moving, flickering sunlight, definitely fits the brief. Do go if you get a chance. It's in Cromford, Derbyshire, a beautiful part of the country with some great walks which I can't wait to explore! 😊

Stitching my picture onto a coloured backing board before framing and taking to on Friday. I've tried various ways of attaching but prefer this way. How do you attach yours?

Delighted to be taking part in this exhibition. 😊

K**a muta (Sanskrit: काममूत) is a psychological term for the sudden, positive emotion of being “moved by love,” characterised by feelings of oneness, warmth in the chest, tears, goosebumps, and a strong urge for connection or nurturing, often triggered by acts of kindness, heroism, or deep empathy, and described as “heart-warming” or “stirring”. It signifies a powerful moment of communal sharing or deep connection, motivating feelings of devotion and care. We can be moved to experience K**a muta by reunions, art, music, acts of heroism, empathy, love for others and our planet. K**a Muta can foster a sense of compassion, devotion, and a desire to care for others. It’s a powerful, universal human emotion that binds people together - strengthening social bonds, helps with survival and well-being, they can be transformative experiences.

Exhibition! I'm thrilled to have had my latest work 'Sunkissed' (new title which I felt suited it better) accepted for the K**a Muta exhibition Cromford from 21st June.

I knew as soon as i heard about the exhibition that i had to create something for it as K**a Muta exactly describes how i feel when I'm in an ancient wood with sunlight filtering through the trees, dappling the ground with pools of gold and lightly kissing the rippling water at my feet. K**a muta is a Sanskrit term meaning "moved by love". Suddenly feeling a deep sense of connection or oneness.

The exhibition opens on 21st June until 2nd August. There will be over 30 artists exhibiting so do visit if you're in the area. Heartfelt thanks to Rachael for selecting my work.
