I offer high quality professional work in lengthening and shortening men's jacket sleeves, taking in the waist, complete relining; lengthening and shortening trousers, taking in and letting out the waist; taking in and letting out dresses and gowns, including wedding dresses, and making made-to-measure evening wear and prom dresses (3 weeks notice please). For the military I accurately and precisely replace all stripes, name tags and insignia.

Phew! A 10 metres wide bridal gown to shorten. I had to remove 10 metres of a 4" nylon stiffening on the bottom of the hem and restitch it back to the new hem line after I shortened it.

I had to make a few very common adjustments to this mother of a bride outfit to fit better. The dress is too long for a short dress, gaping armholes and too long in the shoulders.

I am delighted this week that I am able to resolve a dilemma in a "V" neck bridesmaid's dress with a very low cut front. The customer wants the dress to reveal less in the bust area and the dress shorten. I suggest to add a piece of triangle fabric across the front. The problem is the "cut-off" from the dress is not wide enough to make a patch.. The customer has to compromise in the end by dropping her 4" heels shoes to 2.5" in order to obtain enough cloths to make the patch. I have ample of fabric in the end so I did 4 rows of pin-tucks across the patch to add a little design feature to the dress instead of looking like an "add-on".
The dress is cut in bias in a very awkward and difficult to handle fabric which is make from monofilament fibre which will runs along the length of the fibre if you caught it.

I have been working on my first prom gown this year. A beautiful ultra-marine blue fabric in polyester Princess satin weighing 2 kgs with10.3 metres wide + 6 metres lining ( 16 metres) of cloths to cut and sew. Phew! I had to borrow my husband's clamps from his garage to fasten the gown to a piece of wood to hang it from the hatch to get an accurate measurement of the hem I am cutting.
