Say hello to Cheltenham, the newest addition to our hire range and one of the most versatile suits we've brought in this year. It's a pure wool brown flannel lounge suit, with that lovely soft texture and depth of colour you only get from proper flannel. Brown is having a serious moment for weddings that lean a bit rustic, autumnal, or country-inspired without going full tweed.
The reason we love it for hire is the styling flexibility. One of the trickiest parts of dressing a wedding party is making sure the groom stands out from his groomsmen and the dads, without anyone looking out of place or like they've been left off the memo. Cheltenham solves that beautifully because the base suit stays the same across the whole party, so you get a lovely cohesive look in the photos, but you swap the tie to create distinct roles.
Picture it like this. Put your groomsmen in the chocolate tie for a clean, understated finish that lets the groom be the focal point. Then dress the groom in the stag tie to give him a bit of personality and a nod to the countryside theme, something with character that subtly says he's the main event. The floral tie works brilliantly for the dads or ushers, adding a softer, slightly more decorative touch that ties in with buttonholes and bouquets without competing with the groom.
It also photographs beautifully. Brown flannel reads warmer than grey and softer than navy, so it sits really well against natural backdrops, barn venues, autumn leaves, stone churches, and works equally well with rustic florals or more polished bridal styling.
