A little trip down memory lane ❤️✂️

Many years ago, back in 2001, I started my journey as a seamstress in a dry cleaners in Liverpool, straight out of college. Fast forward to 2025 (that’s a LOT of years! 😂) and one of my brides comes along for her fitting… and I’m greeted by a very familiar face!

Her lovely mum had actually worked for the same company all those years ago. What a small world! 🥰 It brought back so many memories and was such a lovely surprise.

It’s been an absolute pleasure working with Dawn and helping her bring her beautiful wedding dress to life. 😍 A stunning dress from Along Came Eve, with some gorgeous ideas to make it completely her own. ✨

It really is amazing where this sewing journey can take you — from a dry cleaners in Liverpool in 2001 to fitting beautiful brides all these years later. ❤️

The 2027 bridal alteration diary is officially OPEN! 🥰

If you’ve already said YES to your dress, congratulations! 🎉 Now is the perfect time to start thinking about your alterations.

We know how important it is that your dress not only looks beautiful, but fits you beautifully too. Every bride, every dress and every alteration is different, which is why we take the time to make sure everything is just right for you. 🤍

Although your first fitting is usually around 8–10 weeks before your wedding, booking early is highly recommended as we can only take on a limited number of dresses each month.

So, 2027 brides… get your date in the diary and let’s make that beautiful dress fit like it was made for you! 👰‍♀️✨

Here’s another of our amazing 2026 brides… the beautiful elerij94🤍

It was such a lovely time working with both Eleri and her mum. Wednesday lunchtimes just haven’t been the same since your fittings finished!

Eleri also had the best hen do outfit, all thanks to her friends… let’s just say it involved an inflatable 🐄. 😂

Your wedding photos are absolutely stunning, and it was a pleasure to be a small part of your special day.

When one of your amazing 2026 brides pops a thank you card through the door… 😍

It was an absolute joy working with Danielle, her mum, her sisters and all of the bridesmaids. Every fitting was full of laughter, excitement and plenty of memorable moments.

Danielle’s stunning, heavily beaded gown from alongcameevebridal was definitely a showstopper, and seeing it all come together for her wedding day made every minute worthwhile.

During the summer, when are incredibly busy and working long hours, it can be really hard to switch off when you finally get a bit of free time.

I was chatting to one of our lovely prom girls and her mum about this recently, telling them I was trying to spend less time scrolling on my phone. I’d bought myself a paint-by-numbers kit (it’s an otter with a toilet roll… 😂 I’ll definitely share it when it’s finished!).

When they came to collect her prom dress, they surprised me with this gorgeous diamond art kit. 🥹💕

After an incredibly busy week—including a 6am start this morning to finish a dance costume ready for 10am—I finally sat down to have a go. I absolutely love it! It’s so relaxing… it’s a bit like stoning a costume! 😂

Thank you both so much for such a thoughtful gift. Your kindness really made my day. ❤️

And just like that the last prom dress of 2026 is going out of the door! It’s been hectic and I’ve got a serious backlog of messages to respond to on all platforms, but it was lovely to see all the girls! Here’s to a few more days off for the rest of summer and back to sewing wedding dresses ❤️
