💫 A WEBSITE AT LAST💫

Anyone remember the website I promised to launch at the beginning of CoVid 🚀 😂 that seems like a distant memory now(2020!!!)

2 years ago I had grand plans of launching an AMAZING website that I had custom designed myself in photoshop ✍️ I’d spoken to the web developers for hours on end 👍 paid £2k upfront from my own money💰(rookie error) only to discover that it was a scam, which I should have realised when the ‘copywriter’ at the company wrote the words “passion for fashion” in my about section 🤦‍♀️😂
In all honesty this whole fiasco wounded my pride as I didn’t really think I was scammable, I felt like an absolute tool and a bit embarrassed to tell everyone… I lost all of my motivation, gained a lot of repressed anger and I also lost my domain name ‘www.textilecandy.com’ as the web developer had forgotten to renew it for me 😬 All in all a lot of negative emotions that really affected my connection to my little business 😞

Anyway… after a very gruelling 2 years of CoVid 🦠 moving house 3 times 🏡 closing the physical shop 🏬 and changing jobs 3 times 💻 (apparently I do things in 3s)I have had a little rest and finally gathered together the motivation to rebuild and try again 😊

One of my favourite, albeit cliche, Pinterest quotes is from the creative genius that is Banksy 🎨
“ if you get tired learn to rest, not to quit”

That’s exactly what I’ve been doing, having a little season of rest 💤 to prevent me completely quitting because, let’s be honest, CoVid and the world in general 🌍 has been pretty overwhelming lately!!!

SO a HUGE ‘thank you’ to all of the people on here that haven’t unfollowed me while I’ve been absent 😁 I hope you’re all doing okay and going easy on yourselves 😊 (I’m slowly learning to do the same )

As a graphic designer for a retail fashion company you’ll be surprised to hear that I don’t actually end up doing that many creative designs 😂drawing and creating outside of work is my little hobby 😉

These florals really seem to have become a labour of love 😍It started out as a little collection of just 5 and now there’s 16 😬I admit that I got a little carried away but, to be completely honest, I’m just really pleased to have fully finished a project for a change😂

They’re finally available to buy as High Quality Giclee Art Prints on Etsy & Trouva as A4, A3 & A2 prints at £22, £40 & £70 😊

I would love to hear your feedback on them, particularly which colours you’re all more drawn to!?
