I set SplitTips up with the two key aims, first was to provide a platform for local climbers, it frustrated me that all the talent and amazing people this area and community was home too had to move away for support, or take their climbing/sponsorships to other economic centres to make a living from their passion. Hopefully in time SplitTips can provide its local climbers with support enough to keep the goods local and support the Welsh economy and its people further. Secondly was to inspire, to provide something for future generations to get excited about, for the youth coming up to see whats going on in their area in a way that promoted genuine love for the art of climbing not just the egoic pursuits it can often become. I felt the trend in climbing was reducing it to something trivial, rather than the deeply raw and earth connected activity it is at its core. That'll do for now! but rest assured all your support will be put back into the local scene with a good ol pinch of spice to get your stoke all fired up 🌶️💛
