🍂 NEW SEASON COLOUR. INCREDIBLE PRINT. AND PROOF THAT OLD FAVOURITES STILL BELONG. 🍂

It might be looking a little grey outside today, but inside Wardrobe at The Cross?

Absolutely not.

Hil is wearing a gorgeous mix of brand new and much-loved — which is exactly how we think a wardrobe should work.

🤎 First, this new-in cardigan from Black Colour in the most beautiful camel shade. Button-through, elbow-length sleeves with just a little puff and a shape that looks fabulous worn either open or buttoned.

And we’re already down to TWO.

Then… those trousers. 😍

If you haven’t explored One Hundred Stars yet, PRINT is at the heart of what they do — and these are practically a picture you can wear on your legs.

Beautifully fluid, with that gorgeous heavy viscose drape, a neat flat front and an elasticated back for comfort without sacrificing the silhouette.

Customer asks for change.

“Could I have a fiver?”

Cue four of our gorgeous girls walking in.

Tens. Every single one of them. 💅😂

We’re sorry. We don’t make the rules.

And while the joke might be terrible, the new-in camis they’re modelling most certainly are not.

You might remember these little silky beauties from the early days of Wardrobe at The Cross. You loved them then, so we’ve brought them back for the new season in a fabulous selection of colours.

They’re the ultimate wardrobe workhorses: wear them now while it’s warm, then layer them under shirts, cardigans, jackets and knitwear as we head into autumn.

🍂 THE SHOP HAS FLIPPED. AUTUMN/WINTER WARDROBE AT THE CROSS IS HERE. 🍂

Val has worked her visual-merchandising magic, the rails have moved, the new season has taken centre stage and we are OPEN today from 11–5.

And Hil is starting proceedings in something rather fabulous…

✨ This beautiful new-in maxi skirt from One Hundred Stars.

We’re already down to ONE, but don’t panic if someone snaffles it before you do. We’re now an official One Hundred Stars stockist, which means we can order available pieces directly from the brand.

So if you’ve spotted something from One Hundred Stars that we don’t currently have in the boutique, ask us. If we can get it for you, we will. That’s one of the rather lovely advantages of shopping with an independent.

Hil has paired the skirt with our new-in Faye vest in taupe — a gorgeous end-of-summer shade that takes you effortlessly towards autumn. Wear it now while the weather is warm, then use it as a brilliant layering piece under your knitwear as the temperatures drop.

✨ IF YOU KNOW, YOU KNOW… THE CAMI IS BACK. AND SHE’S BROUGHT FRIENDS. ✨

Long-standing Wardrobe at The Cross customers may remember these from the early days…

Our silky camis were an absolute HIT. The sort of useful little thing you bought in one colour, wore to death and then wished you’d bought in three more.

Well.

We listened. 😏

For this season, we’ve gone BIG on colour — and Evie, Katy, Elly, Fearne and Maisie have kindly taken several of the new shades for a spin.

They’re brilliant wardrobe building blocks: silky, fluid, easy under a jacket or knit, fabulous on their own and particularly useful when you want that little flash of colour at the neckline.

We have two versions:

🌈 Our gorgeous Black Colour camis are sized.

🌈 Our Italian camis are a beautiful viscose and silk blend, come in one size and will work easily up to around a 14, depending, as ever, on the b**b situation. Because b**bs do have a habit of getting involved in sizing decisions.

And the colours this season are GOOD.

🏠 The boutique is CLOSED today, because something rather major is happening behind those doors…

Val is in.

The steamer is on.

The rails are moving.

And by the time she’s finished her merchandising magic, Wardrobe at The Cross will be looking decidedly AUTUMN-FACING. 🍂

If you’re passing today, you may spot her through the window, steaming and rearranging until everything is shipshape.

Then tomorrow at 11am, WE’RE BACK — with the boutique flipped for the new season and lots of newness waiting for you.

✨ NEW BRAND ALERT: ONE HUNDRED STARS HAS LANDED AT WARDROBE AT THE CROSS ✨

And oh, this is a very Wardrobe at The Cross brand.

Beautiful fabrics. Fabulous prints. Easy, non-fit-critical shapes. Responsible production. And a small, family-run team based in Sheffield.

One Hundred Stars, welcome to the family. 💛

Hil is giving you a first look in this gorgeous pussy-bow blouse, and it is exquisite.

Made from a beautifully fluid cupro and viscose blend, it has that silky, drapey quality that makes a blouse feel properly special without making it something you save for best.

It’s £72, and we have just TWO:

✨ Small/Medium — we’d say up to a 12, possibly a 14 if you like a neater fit
✨ Medium/Large — comfortably up to around an 18

And here’s something rather useful to know about us becoming an official One Hundred Stars stockist…

We’re now set up to order from them in season. So if you’ve been having a nose at the One Hundred Stars collection and spot something you love that we don’t currently have on our rails, talk to us. If it’s available to us, we can order it for you.
