The last time I was in this space, it was all cables and workmen. This weekend, I got to stay in room 408 for a wedding, and the change is something else.

Comfortable bed, thoughtful touches, everything you need. Feeling really lucky to have played even a small part in the transformation of this hotel, and to be able to enjoy it as a guest.

So this weekend I’m a guest Royal Whitby, by the Seaside in one of the new premium rooms in ‘Caedmon House’. The first time I stood in this space it was full of tradesmen and dust, but now it’s a fully renovated family suite. Bespoke artwork, oak wardrobes, a children’s bedroom, family-friendly touches, and a view that still takes your breath away.

This hotel has been brought back to life and I’m so lucky to be playing a small part in its transformation.

Meet Mrs French Partridge. She came to see us with her rather annoying mate the first night we moved it. Now she has a family and just before the sun goes down she sits on the roof. It’s become a bit of a night time treat watching her teach them to fly and tell them off!

It’s lovely catching a nature breather now and again…must get that rubble moved though!

Back on the tools today in Whitby

Excited to see the renovation moving forward and works on schedule. We added some props, painted and planted, watched Andy do numerous, challenging jobs, checked off our things to do list and ate cake! Before and afters to follow next week….a very special event is taking place soon ❤️
