I’ll be in the marquee at Cardigan Castle grounds, along with some superb makers from all over the UK.

Friday 11th to Sunday 13th September.

If you like your contemporary craft and a fabulous day (or three) out doing fun stuff, then I would urge to you buy a ticket, bring your friends and or family and pop along to Craft Festival Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 There’s plenty to see and do in Cardigan as well with great places to stay, and eat out.

I’ll be bringing my wool - hand knit and crochet, patterns etc plus my blankets and scarves. (I did have bags but they’ve sold out 😳but you can pre order).

Check out the craft festival website to find out more

See you there 🙌

We took a trip out in the van yesterday up toward Machynlleth to deliver a big order of tops to Katie at Katie Weston

Katie is my biggest user of Cambrian tops. She dyes them in her lovely studio overlooking the valley beyond. Check her out. 👀🧶🐑

We took the opportunity of being out and about and visited an old lead mine and lake.

Lovely day out. Mixing business with pleasure on a Bank Holiday Sunday. Suzi Park

Crafts festival 2026

What can you expect?

Some of the best contemporary craft makers, creatives, designers, do-ers, movers and shakers all under one roof (or at least in one place … Cardigan Castle).

Sarah and her team pull together a weekend of joy 🥰🥳🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Exhibition of craft, talks, demos, workshops, children’s activities, theatre and food.

I’ll be there on stand M50. Bringing my new stock of colours in my Hand knitting wool, plus products - blankets, scarves, lampshades, knitting patterns etc.

I’ll be showcasing the ‘wool journey’ on my stand 🐑🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🧶from the sourcing of the fibre from the Cambrian Mountains in Wales, through the spinning and dyeing processes. Showcasing final product: hand knit and weaving yarn which in turn can be woven into double cloth blankets and other products.

I’m not a ‘hands on‘ maker (in that I don’t make my own product by hand) but I make things happen I guess, and things ‘get made’ through the processes that I instigate and oversee? I suppose that’s a good way of describing it.

Please also check out the six workshops that Sarah has asked me to put together with 6 fabulous artist/makers under my brand .

You can book on the craft festival website. Two workshops are on each day running from Friday 11th to Sunday 13th September.

Hope to see you there x

I’m delighted to have been selected to show Cambrian wool textiles for the next exhibition at Wrights Wright’s

I applied to the open call for work from artists, makers and creatives from the Towy Valley (and beyond) for Gofod.

Feels a little surreal to be on the ‘other side’ of a curated exhibition, but I am delighted to have had my textiles chosen to be shown. Megan Evans

There’s a PV on the 4th September.

Check it out 🥳

I visited the lovely Jonny yesterday from Garthenor to chat wool (obvs).

Now that Jonny has set up his contract spinning it means that I have the very real prospect of bringing my Cambrian wool spinning to Wales.

How fab is that?

Welsh fibre
Spun in Wales
Woven in Wales
Knitted in Wales 🙌

Ok …. so we can’t do the processing bit in Wales (at scale) but that’s ok. 3 out of 4 can’t be bad.

Jonny has spun a 10 kilo ‘bump’ for me onto a finer weight, 2/11’s NM. This one of the weights we had spun on the original Cambrian Mountains project and we had some beautiful twill fabric woven at Cambrian Mill (now unfortunately not producing woven fabric any longer).

If you would like to sample any of this finer weight please get in touch. I only have ecru at the moment, nothing dyed up, but it’s good to trial. I have sampled it on my domestic knitting machine and it’s works well in plain knit or fairisle, mixed with a heavier weight.

Is there anyone out there who’d like to put it onto some knitting needles or a crochet hook to try it for me? I think it might be close to a lace-weight. I have no idea really 🤷‍♀️😂

DM me or email [email protected] if you want to chat some more.

You can find out more about contract spinning at Garthenor by popping into his website. 📷 I’ve added a selection of photos taken at British wool depot in Yorkshire (worth a visit), the spinning process (but pics not taken at Garthenor), photos at Hawarths scouring and some photos I’ve taken of Welsh landscape with sheep 🐑🧶🐏🧶🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Garthenor Organic garthenor British Wool
