Written and performed by the brilliant Nick Degg Poet and commissioned by Newcastle-under-Lyme BID, "Down Castle" is an ode to Newcastle-under-Lyme, its history, its people and the character that makes our town what it is.

A warm welcome for Castle’s smallest visitors! 🐛

Installed as part of our community garden project with Aspire Housing, Teacher's Pet Classroom Resources and Cleanup Quest, our bug hotels provide a safe place for beneficial insects to shelter, nest and hibernate.

Bees, ladybirds, beetles and other mini beasts help pollinate plants, keep gardens healthy and support local wildlife 🐝

Please leave our little guests undisturbed. 🌼🐞

Attention music lovers! ⚠️ Newcastle-under-Lyme Jazz & Blues returns this August Bank Holiday! 🎶🎷

Get ready for another weekend of incredible live music as Newcastle Jazz & Blues Festival returns for its 19th year from Friday 28th August!

With more than 50 acts performing across many of your much loved 'Castle venues, whether you're discovering a new venue or revisiting an oldie but a goodie, it's the perfect excuse to spend the Bank Holiday weekend in Newcastle! 🫶

On Saturday 29th August, the celebrations get even bigger as the festival joins forces with Castle Food & Drink Fest. Expect delicious food, artisan market stalls, street food, outdoor acoustic performances from 6 Towns Radio and good vibes only!
