Latest addition to the collection is this Very Rare August 1893 Glasgow Station Caledonian Railways Warning/Trespassing double sided enamel sign.

Showing signs of age a mere 133 years! Displays excellent with beautiful patina. Made by Falkirk Iron Co for Glasgow Station.

Measuring 22.5 x 16.75 inches. Rare to find a 1893 version as most none glasgow versions are 1895 dated.

Some items in our collections we want to keep and others we're happy to sell.

This one is one i wanted to keep but could not pass off the opportunity of moving it onto another keen collector who will be using it in his home for its intended purpose while keeping the patina as it is.

Recent addition to the collection.

Introduced in 1961 The Bolex Paillard Zoom Reflex 8mm camera.

Beginning with this model the P1 featuring a SOM Berthiot Pan Cinor f/1.9 zoom lens with a focal length range from 8mm to 40mm.

This particular example with serial number 937813 was made in 1962 and comes with carry case.

As the saying goes 'shy bairns get nowt' spotted this rather neglected fire bucket it someones garden when out delivering today.

Struck up conversation with the homeowner about it and he mentioned it had been sat for some time and was there when he'd bought the house, he used it as a plant pot at one point. He's now sold up and mentioned it would be getting disposed of and i can take it if I want it.

Naturally all people that know me well know i love anything old, rusty and with a bit of history so being 'National Old Stuff Day' today i couldn't turn it down. Gave it a good scrub and sympathetic oily rag resto and its now at home with my other old rusty dispensers and cans.

I'm always collecting quirky, vintage and oddball older items and love to see a bit patina as it shows the history and tells a story of the item. To some it may look like a rusty piece of metal but to me its more than that, its a passion for keeping the older things alive.
