6x Danish Modern Teak Dining Chairs H.W.Klein For Bramin - £1100

Beautiful 1960s mid century teak dining chairs designed by H.W. Klein for Danish manufacturers Bramin.

These fabulous chairs are very stylish and comfortable. Beautiful simplistic yet elegant Danish design featuring gentle curves and a wonderfully formed curving backrest giving great support.

I acquired these from the estate of an elderly lady who had bought them new in the early 1960s. Originally they had paper-cord seats but she had these removed in the mid 90s for comfort reasons, and had drop in seat cushions made. The chairs could be re-corded if desired.

I have stripped and recovered the drop in seat cushions with new foam, wadding and brand new upholstery in a mustard coloured hardwearing cotton blend fabric. These are very comfortable to sit in.

The wooden frames are in excellent original condition. A few very minor marks only. They have been cleaned and polished and are in great vintage condition.

Each chair measures:
49cm wide, 48cm deep, 45cm height to seat and 75cm overall height.

Collection in person welcome from my workshop in Palmersville, North Tyneside or I can arrange local delivery for an additional £35 within 15 miles of NE12 (cash on delivery).

National delivery is available via my trusted furniture courier for approximately £65 (excluding Highlands and Islands) although please ask for a quote as some outlying areas may be more. Vintage teak G Plan “Form 5” range cabinet fitted with tapered wooden legs - £195

This mid century/danish style cabinet makes an ideal storage option for a smaller space, and is perfect for storing Vinyl LPs. Would be great as a media unit with a stacking system/turntable on top.

It features very nicely designed double sliding doors, together with clean mid century lines. It’s constructed of teak veneer.

It is in generally very good vintage condition. It has a few small cosmetic marks along the front edge where a previous revisit to the veneer has been made, but this is minimal and not too noticeable when in use (see photos). It has a small hole cut in the back panel which cannot be seen when in use.

I have removed the original skirt base and added solid beech tapered legs to give it a more open/less blocky look.

It measures:
76.5 cm wide, 46 cm deep and 54cm tall

Danish Modern Style Solid Teak Metamorphic Cocktail Bar Coffee Table - £395

This superb metamorphic coffee table/cocktail bar is a really unique and well made piece of furniture, perfect for a scandi/mid century themed living room or lounge.

It was made by D Scan as part of their “captain’s line” range of high end furniture in the early 1970s. D Scan furniture was designed in the Danish modern style and very well made in Singapore.

A very well made piece with superb detailing. It features lovely finger jointed construction. The top is made with solid teak in a thick “butchers block” style. The drawers are solid teak also and feature cut away finger hole pulls and finger jointed corners.

It has been converted into a coffee table by the previous owner and originally was the top half of a full height cocktail cabinet. These original cocktail bars sell for around £2000 to £2500.

The top slides back and the front flips open to reveal a cocktail bar beneath with storage for bottles. The side panels both open up with very strong hinged supports to create a large bar top area too, extending the table top by approximately 95cm.

It’s in excellent overall condition with a few minor marks from use. One of the sides/extension tops has a small mark but this will be re-polished and blended in before collection/shipping.

It measures (Stored):
102cm long, 42cm wide and 54cm tall.

Superb Art Nouveau triple fitted wardrobe with carved walnut veneered panels - £495

This was made by the Cooperative Wholesale Society at their Pelaw works, South Tyneside circa 1905.

It’s a beautiful and very well made piece featuring a stunning hand carved leaf motif to the two outer doors, in typical Arts and Crafts/Art Nouveau style. On the front of the central door is a large, full length mirror with beveled edges. The two outer doors are veneered with a beautiful burr walnut.

Internally it has a double wardrobe to one side with a large oak drawer to the bottom. In the top there is a gold coloured hanging rail with additional hooks behind. The back panel is also tongue and groove oak. The smaller side is fitted with 6 good sized oak drawers and an open shelved compartment above. All of the drawers are fitted with recessed handles and are of dovetailed construction.

It’s in excellent antique condition overall. One of the door panels does have a piece of the walnut veneer missing (see photographs) but is genuinely barely noticeable as the satin walnut behind is a similar colour. There are no nasty marks or scratches.

It comes with its original key.

The wardrobe has been dismantled to remove it from the property and will be delivered in this manner so to make it easier to get in to your property/upstairs (if needed). All fixings are there. It comes in to 5 main sections. The base, 3 central sections, and the “hat) the three sections fit snuggly into the base, the they are then screwed together, and the hat is then also snuggly fit on to the top. The mirrored door and left door have also been removed. Please be aware if buying this for national delivery you will need to re-assemble this yourself/arrange for someone to do this.

It measures:
6ft 11” overall height, 64 & 3/4 inches wide and 22.5” deep (19” internal depth),

1976 Teak Framed Dynatron HF 202 Music Centre And LS 1428 Speakers - £250

This superb sounding vintage music centre is both a great looking and more importantly great sounding vintage hifi.

It has been serviced and is in great working order. It has been in use for around 5 years by my nephew who had been using it as his main system. I have given the turntable and amplifier a further service this week and been using it in my workshop for the past week.

It features a very capable Garrard 86SB turntable with aluminium platter. The tone arm is easily balanced set and has adjustable tracking weight and anti skate. It’s fitted with a great sounding Shure M75 cartridge. The turntable has auto and manual settings and can be set to play 7”, 10” or 12” records.

It also has a built in LW/MW/FM tuner, and has a 5 pin din input/output at the rear for a tape deck, although I have connected a Bluetooth receiver/transmitter module which allowed me to stream from my phone through the amplifier and also transmit the audio from the turntable to my Bluetooth headphones.

Cosmetically in very decent condition with the Perspex lid in great condition too.

G Plan Mid-Century Fresco Teak Dressing Table Desk With Floating Top - £375

Superb original 1960s G Plan Dressing Table designed by Victor Bramwell Wilkins as part of their iconic “Fresco” Range.

This is a beautiful and functional piece of furniture that would look great in any MCM, scandi or retro styled room. It’s perfect for use as a dressing table but works just as well as a desk (with the mirror removed).

It features 4 spacious main drawers and a central purple velvet lined drawer. Tilting mirror and “floating” top.

It’s in excellent overall condition. The top has been stripped and lightly sanded before being oiled with three coats of Osmo hard wax oil for lasting protection and shine. A few very minor marks otherwise but very minimal.

It measures:
5ft wide, 19.25” deep, 27.75” height (to desk) and 47” height (including mirror)

Fab pair of “floating” G Plan bedside tables with drawers - £245

Part of the ever popular “Fresco” range, these are constructed of solid teak and teak veneers. Each has a single drawer and single pedestal leg.

Great vintage condition with a few very light marks only. These will be cleaned and polished before shipping.

Originally came with a double headboard, these aren’t free standing and will require fixing to the wall via a couple of brackets which can be attached inside (and then screwed into the wall).

They each measure:
51cm wide, 44cm deep and 52cm tall.

Vintage 1960s/70s three piece suite in original tan real leather upholstery - £1000

This fab mid century modern Danish style suite is perfect for the scandi/modernist style home. It was made by British manufacturer C D Pierce & Son Limited around 1970. It’s a very well made set and is in great condition. C D Pierce and son was a small family run business from High Wycombe.

It features a stylish solid teak frame with nicely rounded edges. Saddle style leather cushions on the arms. Leather panel on the backs. The sofa very easily converts to a bed by simply lifting from the front. The armchairs also can be made into small beds (for young children) or can recline with three settings of inclination.

The suite is in overall very nice condition. Structurally it’s in great shape with no wobbles or loose joints. It has been re-webbed at some point and this is in great condition although it is quite a loose elasticated type making the suite very soft. This could be replaced if you want a more firm seat.

The tan brown leather is naturally aged/distressed but without major wear. There are no nasty scratches or tears. It will be cleaned and treated with leather balm before shipping.

The sofa measures (at widest points):
2m long/wide, 1m deep, 80cm tall and 40cm height to seat.

As a sofa bed it measures 130cm wide x 2m long (around 180cm internally with arm cushions)

The armchairs each measure:
80cm wide, 1m deep (deeper if reclined), 40cm height to seat and 80cm overall height.

As small beds they are 130cm long x 80cm wide.
