On the blog
So we’re off to take Tabitha the home on wheels to Dorset for a bit of work. It appears both taps leak badly which means we or I should say I may not have overwintered her correctly. I am of course blaming him as he had his heart attack when this needed doing and me with my big girl panties on thought I could do it all. Turns out I can’t!
First disaster he looses the car keys. Now this is a frequent happening and he was barred from touching keys but turns out he did anyway. Fortunately I’ve popped a bleeper on them but I’ve just got to remember which colour button is for the car! First disaster over! Second disaster he forgot to pull the jockey wheel up so after me saying ‘It doesn’t feel right’ and ‘What’s that noise’ ‘it’s just the bumpy road’ ‘No this isn’t right, please pull in’ Guess what!!!! That’s now wrecked and we need a replacement but oh by such good luck we’re heading to a caravan centre….phew!
I’m struggling to keep myself in one piece and sane without Mr Logistics falling apart. I’m due my B12 injection next week so I’m rapidly going downhill at the moment and wake up tired and can barely walk anywhere now it just seems to hit me like a truck. They are going to test for pernicious anaemia this time too so another armful of precious blood will be heading for testing.
My problem is that the hypothyroidism echoes the B12 symptoms so who knows what’s going on with what? Anyway enough moaning we are now preparing for our next three fairs so sourcing is starting big time! I actually never know what I’m going to buy but I get a feeling, an itch, a something weird that says something needs to come home with me. Hubby looks askance at me every time but I get that buzz that says something needs to be mine albeit for a short time. He dithers and then I pipe up and it becomes mine. One very confused husband later is still trying to work out what just happened!!! That’s the thrill of being a vintage dealer…. Just knowing!?
Yes I’ve made a few mistakes but I reckon the sixth sense gets it every time. How about you?
We had a long discussion tonight about life, the universe and everything and we even discussed our twiddly thingamebobs! I can’t answer the phone on my left ear, I have to put my right sock on before my left, I need lists and have to write jobs I e done on them so I can cross them off, I also admitted to buggering up his neat washing line and perhaps moving some socks out of their neatly pairs! I like to think of myself as placid , calm and serene but I have a terrible feeling my girls (yes all five are mine) may feel I’m slightly dramatic but honestly kiddos this all does happen and please don’t panic step daddy is booked into a home in Outer Mongolia!
