Hello September!

Is that Autumn I see in the distance? 🍂

It's been a hot summer (too hot for me 🥵) so I'm so looking forward to my favourite time of year!

I'm waiting for a delivery of this fabulous macrame cord today - any guesses what I'll be making this week?

It's been a very busy and productive afternoon having a sort through my fabric stash!

I've now created a Fabric Clearance album on my page and there are bargains to be had!

I've started with children-orientated designs but more will follow so keep a look out in the next few days.

If there is something specific you are after, drop me a message as I may be able to help - I have a HUGE amount of fabric to clear!!!

It’s been a busy week in the JD household so apologies for the lack of posting.

Daughter No.2 and her boyfriend returned from 3 months of travelling on Wednesday so it was a 3.30am alarm for the hubby and I to make the early morning run to Heathrow Airport to pick them up 😵

Prior to that was prepping for the party that we threw for them that evening including the arrival of a couple of surprise guests 🎊

Thursday was spent catching up on some sleep in the morning and to ease myself back into work mode, I decided to have a sort out of my workroom in the afternoon.

Unfortunately, I found this tapestry kit I’d been given a while ago so I got a little bit side-tracked making a start on that – it has now been added to my ever-growing Work In Progress list 🤦🏼‍♀️

I’m hoping I’ll end the week with some creative results, keep your fingers crossed for me 🤞🏻

The heatwave is due to peak today with South Wales hitting 33 degrees 😳

My pooch has the right idea - stay indoors in front of our industrial fan!!!

An early start for me this morning as I'm having a fridge/freezer delivered - as it turns out I could have stayed in bed a bit longer as it hasn't arrived yet 🤦🏼‍♀️

However, as it's going to be another hot one I can get a few chores done before the sun gets too hot 🌞

Anyone planning to watch (safely) the eclipse this evening? I failed to get any glasses so it's colander watching for me!

I still have to do my 'proper' photography session for these lavender bags but I'd thought I'd show you how the 'open' snap tab edge is finished.

The bottom seam is overlocked to prevent fraying as it's not a stitched seam and needs to withstand the 'refilling' process of the lavender sachet.

This is one of the extra quality 'unseen' finishes that I give to all of my products 💖

Following on from all the positive feedback on my last post, I've made a new batch of lavender bags with the snap tab closure.

The lavender is kept secure in a tied organza bag and is popped inside the fabric bag along with a bit of stuffing to fill out the corners.

I'll be listing them for sale shortly - let's see if they have any success 🤞🏻
