Alf was born in Ashburton and has lived in Devon most of his 32years He attended SDCC & played hockey for Ashmoor Hockey Club and is now lecturing at Cardiff Met University. (in fact he is now lecturing current youngsters from the area)
Alf plays Premier League hockey for Cardiff Met HC, has represented Wales in Senior men’s hockey for a number of years and is currently in the training squad for the Hockey World Cup 2026.
Wales will be competing alongside many countries that professionally & financially fund their Athletes…However, the Welsh players are totally Amateur and have to self fund their playing careers alongside working their full time jobs.
Any support from friends, work colleagues & family would be extremely welcome.
