Join me at Spennymoor Youth and Community Association and discover the simple quilting technique known as Kawandi.
This technique is suitable for absolute beginners as it uses simple running stitches to join pieces of fabric. All resources will be provided and more experienced Kawandi sewists are welcome to bring along their own project and join me for a relaxing couple of hours of sewing. What a lovely, relaxing morning we have had learning to love our scraps! We experimented with two different techniques then each person put these into practice in their own unique way. It’s interesting to see what colour combinations people choose and how they use the techniques to make a brand new piece of fabric.
