The Devil’s Bowling Green 👹🪨

A remote, naturally flat expanse of granite plateau in the Galloway Hills. Surrounded by the rough, craggy terrain of the Dungeon hills, the flat surface features naturally deposited, glacier carried boulders and stones, left standing for thousands of years. 🌄🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The Devil’s Bowling Green stands above the UNESCO Biosphere site Silver Flowe, part of the Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biosphere — the largest biosphere in the UK. 🇬🇧

The Grey man of the Merrick.
Rising on the face of The Merrick, the highest peak in Southern Scotland at 2,766 ft. ⛰️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 The Grey Man watches over the heart of Galloway, a vast wilderness shaped by rock, weather, and legend.

Hidden beneath the summit near Loch Enoch, the Grey Man is a natural rock formation that resembles the face of an old man carved into the hillside by the landscape itself. 🗿

For us at Cortex, the Grey Man became more than a landmark, he became our mark. Our logo is inspired by this iconic figure and the rugged terrain that shaped us. ⚔️
