A little milestone for Willow and Iris this week.

I recently sold some items to a TV production company.
It reminded me how much I’d love to grow this side of the business: sourcing vintage pieces for film, television, theatre, interiors styling and photo shoots.

I’m especially drawn to objects with age, texture, story and atmosphere. The kinds of pieces that help a space feel real, layered and lived-in.

A little note to say I’m sorry if I’ve been slower than usual replying to messages or sending out orders.

I’m dealing with a difficult time behind the scenes at the moment, so things may be a little slower than normal for a short while. I’m still here, still working, and doing my best to respond and post everything out as soon as I can.

A genuine piece of post-war British theatre history.
This framed theatre bill is from the Alhambra Theatre, advertising a performance on Monday 18th October 1948 - just a few years after the end of WWII, when theatres were coming back to life and people were returning to shared evenings of music and laughter.

The show, “It’s On The Air”, was presented by Henry Hall and featured well-known names of the time including Ted Ray, reflecting the golden era of British variety theatre.
Printed for the Moss Empires circuit, this would have been part of a touring production , likely travelling from Blackpool to cities across the north. Most theatre bills like this were only ever meant to last a week, then be discarded, which makes surviving examples like this all the more special.

You can still see the original fold lines from where it would have been stored or posted, along with gentle signs of age that speak to its history. The typography and colour are classic late-1940s British theatre design.

It is presented in a modern frame, ready to hang.

Lovely vintage mid-century coffee table with a beautiful tiled top - I just couldn’t leave this one behind.

The tiles have that warm, earthy sunburst pattern that really catches the light, and the shape is a classic low, Danish-style design.

I’ve given it a gentle refresh – washed it, nourished the wood with Danish oil, and buffed beeswax into the tiles so it has a really soft, natural sheen now.

It’s in good vintage condition, with the kind of small marks and wear you’d expect with age, but nothing that takes away from how lovely it is (all shown in the photos).
Would make a really nice coffee table or little feature piece in a cosy corner.

A beautiful pair of vintage Ercol dining chairs, featuring solid elm seats and beech frames with that iconic spindle-back design. Both stamped and have iconic blue labels.

These chairs have been gently revived with Danish oil, bringing out the warmth and grain of the wood while preserving their authentic patina.

They are structurally solid and comfortable, with a lovely aged character throughout. There is visible wear to the seat edges, including small chips and marks consistent with age and use, someone may love these to restore.

A small update.
As the shop continues to grow and evolve, I wanted a name that better reflects what I love - nature, botanical beauty, history, and carefully chosen vintage finds.

So Willow & Worn will now be known as Willow & Iris.

The heart of the shop remains the same.
