Sewing Volunteers-Norfolk Norfolk Sewing Volunteers - formed from the successful Norfolk Scrubs Volunteers. Sewing for those i We make for those in need.

A group of volunteers originally formed to make scrubs for NHS front-line staff in Norfolk, March 2020. At the end of June 2020 scrubs sewing was paused (with a few exceptions) as almost all requests for scrubs had been met. Many volunteers were returning to work, and commercial scrubs were once again available. At the beginning of February 2021 the group was renamed Norfolk Sewing Volunteers.

A belated update - the remaining stocks of laundry bags (plus some random face masks which were left by an anonymous member) were donated to Norwich Open Christmas, December 2022

NSV have got stocks of fabric purchased during the scrubs sewing project. ✂️ ✂️
If you are making items for donation (not for sale) to those in need, check our website for the colours and types available. Requests can be made via the website, and fabric will need to be collected from Norwich (NR3).

A lovely message from someone who asked us for scrubs:

"Hello- would like to thank the dedicated volunteers for their support, even after demand has lowered. My scrubs have enabled me to work comfortably as a mental health 3rd student. They are made really well and im blown away by the consideration.

We've received a lovely 🌈 thank you 🌈 message from an NHS location:
"Just wanted to send a big thank you to your team for the wonderful rainbow scrubs that were supplied to our ward recently. They went down very well with our service users and definitely put a bit of colour on the ward. We were very impressed with the speed of production and the quality of the scrubs, you guys do a great job!!"
