We offer bespoke 'one off' designs and choice vintage and retro pieces. Prices quoted are 'collection only' (Well are based in Norfolk). We can have pieces sent or couriered to you if you can't collect. We are happy to quote that separately as the pieces are not standard.

This little oriental origin miniature chest of drawers came into us broken. The doors had fallen off , the hinges had disintegrated and it had definitely lost it's mojo 😔.

Our client's late husband had brought it back many years ago from one of his rambling trips and it meant a lot to our client and her husband's memory to have it on display once again.

The box itself has some age to it and we were keen to respect that and its patina, so we sought to work with what was there, rather than add 'shiny new' and respect it's age and it's eccentricities.

We painstakingly repaired the delicate , broken hinges, fixed the doors, brought out the black lacquer with some dark waxing and brought back the lustre with an oiled finish.

Et voilà.

Our client was emotional when we presented it back to her. To have it back on display in his study was very important to her husband's memory.

Another little bit of Elsie-May's magic has lit up someone's day 🪄😊

The G-Plan nest of tables are now renovated and all those years of coffee cups and water marks removed. Now they can be finished. I'm going to oil them rather than the varnish they had. Much softer and much nicer finish. I'll post the finished group when ready for sale.

So, the lovely little mantle clock has had a little bit of a spruce up, not too much to take away the years though!

It really is a lovely little 1950's time piece. Its made by British clock makers Smith, who ceased making clocks in 1979.

It is wood effect Bakerlite. A Smiths 4 Jewel 8 day wind up clock.

It's so nostalgic as it is so, so similar to one that Elsie-May had on her tiled, open hearth mantlepiece. Just below the Atomic wall clock on the chimney breast. I love the sound of It's gentle ticking..

It's working and I wind it each morning, just like Elsie-May did.

Height is 14.5cm
Width is 18.5 cm
Depth is 5.5 cm at the widest point (feet)

It is in fantastic condition considering it's age. Most Bakerlite would have chipped, cracked or splintered..

A great addition to any contemporary living space or maybe a little bit of a nostalgic reminder of times past.

Hmmmm...🤔. A pair of these have come in ... mid 1980's solid wing back chairs. Well made, comfortable , but very boring indeed ..... May need bringing into the modern world a bit! 😆😆.

Those terrible water marks and cup rings are out. Just started layering the new stain to renew the teak. These were varnished...but I think I might just oil them after restoration 🤔.... This is the biggest one out of the nest and was the most damaged. The outer nest table is normally the one that sustains the coffee cup abuse ☕️.
