Thank you Courtney & Co Button Makers , you made my Friday a happy one.

These buttons in the Immitation Horn made from Codelite a natural protein from milk . They can be added as a special request for Blackshore garments instead of the standard colour Corozo nut buttons .

So when I say I can make many things , this is one of those items. Not a garment this time.

This was a special request from a customer ,for whom I have made special orders for previously.

It's a tarp/tent for shelter when backpacking or just as a sunshade on a hot day or shelter in a rainy day . It's made from our olive Rip-Stop dry wax cotton fabric Halley Stevensons Ltd | Fabric Innovation . Light enough to put in your backpack for the ultimate shelter when out hiking .

So it's been 2 weeks since we returned from our holiday travelling up the East Coast of Britain ,from Norwich to to Edinburgh .
We visited
Hadrians Wall ,
Berwick -upon -Tweed,
Lindisfarne Holy Island ,
Farne Islands to see the Puffins, Seahouses,
Edinburgh ,
Blackness Castle ,
Stirling ,
Falkirk ,
Bamburgh Castle ,
Pickering and Thornton-le-Dale ( dropped in on Mathewsons from the TV show 'Bangers and Cash ' in North Yorkshire ( Nathan's a fan of this programme) .
Amazing to see the majestic Kelpies in Falkirk they had a real calming effect on me ,maybe as I love horses.
Visited the William Wallace memorial too, as well as the Falkirk Wheel ,great engineering.
It was a real educational and historical trip . Walked so many miles, even Murphy was tired with her little legs.
,
Britain has so many beautiful places to see and we will certainly be doing another road trip in the campervan .

Now Blackshore are taking orders ,so back to sewing machine.

Workshop is closed until 27th July .
Any orders that are made within the next 2 weeks will be sent the week starting 27th July .
If I don't reply to emails or phone calls/messages straight away it's because I might be somewhere where I cannot get a signal . So bear with me and I will get back to you soon as I can .

This beautiful Dry Wax herringbone fabric in Burgundy was chosen by a loyal customer. @ halleystevensons .

He has had a few in this style ( he originally gave us the idea for the cowl neck smock, which we thank him for ) . His work is in Brittany, France working on boats, so he needs the cowl neck to keep the wind out , it is extendable so rolls up to 9" tall .
The secure pocket flap stops anything dropping into the water while he's working .

We love to do custom made pieces for our customers .

So if anyone would like something specially made in a specific fabric that we can normally supply or a fabric that they have .

We would love to make that special garment in our small workshop in Norfolk.

Made in our workshop in Norfolk by hand . From cutting out the pieces, preparing , sewing the pieces together and finishing with the beautiful corozo nut buttons.

Hope everyone is enjoying the glorious weather. 🌞
From slow fashion brand to slow living on the river .
It's a Bank Holiday Monday , so what is the perfect thing to do on your day off ?

Paddle boarding with Nathan and Murphy on a peaceful river between Mayton Bridge and Buxton in Norfolk .

Think the fresh air and taking in all the wildlife has worn Murphy out ,sleeping like a baby . 😴
Even the cows are chilling in the river, don't blame them !!
