May Marigold CIC is BACK at Back Up Front Row 2026! 👏

This September, May Marigold CIC will be taking to the runway at Back Up Front Row at Battersea Arts Centre in London.

Front Row is organised by Back Up a UK charity helping people affected by spinal cord injury build confidence and independence.

Taking place on Thursday 24 September, Front Row is an evening celebrating adaptive fashion, with incredible models from the spinal cord injury community taking to the catwalk.

Guests can expect show-stopping catwalks, delicious food and drink and exciting fundraising games, all while helping to raise vital funds for Back Up.

Back Up is a UK charity supporting people affected by spinal cord injury. Its services include wheelchair skills training, life-changing activity courses, mentoring and support with work and employment, helping people build confidence and independence.
We're proud to be part of this year's Front Row and hope you'll join us for a brilliant evening.

Our Reimagined Adaptive line is a fun, colourful, and affordable adaptive fashion collection made from second-hand or pre-loved garments. These pieces are modified and decorated with simple adaptations designed to reduce clothing waste, provide affordable adaptive fashion, and bring more joy to the disabled community.

Below are answers to some of your frequently asked questions:

I have a garment I love and want it made adaptive. Can you upcycle it?
Yes! You can arrange to send it to us, and we will work on your idea to add the right adaptations using our standard pricing model.

I have an idea for a specific piece I would really like. Can you make it upcycled and adaptive?
Yes! Please contact us and we can look into making something special for you. We will work with your idea and add the right adaptations using our standard pricing model.

I’m not disabled. Can I still wear clothing from the upcycled adaptive collection?
Absolutely. We use a wide range of modifications, some of which are very small and simply useful to have. Adaptive fashion is for everyone. If you see something you like or just want a garment upcycled, please let us know.

I need a specific adaptation done. Can I request additional modifications?
Absolutely. Get in touch with us and we can work together to create the perfect adaptations for you.

What are some examples of the adaptations you make to garments?
Some examples of our modifications include:

- Adding zippers in side seams on the sides and arms
- Adding poppers on the sides
- Opening up sleeves to make them less tight
- Cropping garments or changing lengths
- Creating new openings or access points
- Adding sensory fabrics

A space to share experiences of barriers and collaborate to coproduce solutions.

This event is held in a shipping container with ramp access, depending on attendance we may sit outside, seating will be provided, there is parking and an accessible toilet on site 250ft from the venue.
