🐈‍⬛ 🐈 Happy International Cat Day! 🐈‍⬛ 🐈

Created in 2002 by the International Fund for Animal Welfare and designed to raise global awareness about feline health, protection and welfare.

So… did you know: Adult cats mostly meow to communicate with humans, not other cats! They also use their tails to communicate and the IFAW advocate we learn their language:

🐈‍⬛ The Question Mark: A tail held high with a curved tip means they are happy and approachable.

🐈 The Bottle Brush: A puffed-up, bristled tail indicates extreme fear or aggression.

🐈‍⬛ The Slow Swish: Gentle side-to-side movement shows focus, usually right before pouncing on a toy.

🐈 The Whipping Thump: Fast, heavy thumping against the floor means your cat is highly agitated and wants space.

So here’s to all the little furry dictators who run the whole house!
