Sally Ann Sews

Sally Ann Sews Handmade, high quality textile creations - making your life more beautiful. Everything I make is made with love and care to enrich your life and home.

I make beautiful, fun, household items that turn your house into a home and make your life easier. My core values are dependability, individuality and fun. I value the freedom that running my own business gives me:
-the freedom so that my daughter can depend on me being there for swimming galas, hockey matches and speech days, because I can be flexible about when I work,
-the freedom so that you c

an depend on the quality you get from my products, each one individually and carefully made to your order, because I am not under pressure from an organisation to make an amount per hour,
-the freedom so that you can choose to fill your home with beautiful, fun, handmade products that co-ordinate, or don't, as you wish!
-the freedom to be responsible about how I source my materials, and to make sure I'm using the earth's resources as wisely as I can
-the freedom that comes with making my own patterns, having fun choosing fabrics, deciding which part of the home these would best suit, and lovingly crafting an item that someone else will cherish for years to come,
-the freedom to treat my customers as my friends, and to do my best work for each and every one of them. Thank you for allowing me that freedom - you are the heart of my business! I live within walking distance of the Major Oak, the Heart of Sherwood Forest, and walk in the forest regularly. These walks are my inspiration to create beautiful, lasting products that care for the environment, either by being recycled themselves, or by reducing the need for ever more packaging. I try to design my products with the forest ever in the background, as for instance, my grocery bag holders help to stop these invidious plastic bags being discarded carelessly and desecrating the countryside; my bowl covers mean plastic film can be used less; my advent calendars are refillable and reusable, so packaging isn't thrown away every year. Every little thing helps to save this wonderful forest for generations to come. I hope you like my range, and if you have any questions, please feel free to email me.

I love how the backstitch gives the hands, feet, and particularly faces more definition. πŸ™‚

A bit closer, it’s more obvious how eclectic this fabric is - it has foxes on it! 😍

If you’re heading to Wellow for Maypole Day, why not treat yourself to half an hour at Eakring too? Some great pictures exhibiting, and some for sale too, all local artists. πŸ™‚

I’ve done other parts of the backstitch, too, like this part of the tablecloth. πŸ™‚
