🎃 Cloth nappies might seem spooky at first… but here's a picture from the vaults of our consultant Becca with her (then) 3-week-old to prove they’re nothing to be scared of! 👻 (And they were also on a caravan holiday!)

If you fancy giving reusable nappies a go without the investment, we have kits to hire from the maternity library which come with full instructions and support from us 💖

Remember the four key things needed for safety when using a sling.

Breathing - this means a good snug fit that’s high and tight with no airway obstruction. Check them!
Sleeping - sleepy babies slump. Check them!
Feeding - feeding in slings requires extra vigilance. Check them!
Clothing - babies get hot in slings especially when it’s cold and parents add snowsuits.
Check them!

With two of our lovely peer supporters now trained as carrying consultants, we thought it was the perfect time to clear up the difference between the two roles!

👶 Peer supporters are here to offer friendly, informal help — sharing tips, reassurance, and their own experience of baby carrying.

🎓 Consultants have in-depth training that allows them to work with you one-to-one, helping troubleshoot fit or comfort issues and explore a wider range of carriers and techniques.

Both are here to support you on your baby carrying journey!

If you’re just popping by, our peer supporters are always on hand to answer any quick questions or chat about what might work for you. And if you’d like a more in-depth chat about your specific needs, you can book a slot with one of our consultants — just drop us a message! 💬💖

We have had such an exciting week!

Two of our peer supporters (alongside The Village Midwife 💖) have just completed their Consultancy Training with Slingababy — meaning they can now offer more expert support with all your babywearing questions 💕

With new knowledge and confidence, they’re feeling ready and inspired to support you on your baby-carrying journey, whatever your situation — exploring wraps, slings, buckles and beyond!

We’re so proud of them and can’t wait to share their knowledge with our lovely community! 🤍
