Well, my last class has been taught, and it's time to pack up The Sewing Table studio. Very mixed feelings here as I sort through everything! I've spent so many happy hours sewing with you all in this wonderful space, but I'm looking forward to finding out what the future might bring.

If you haven't heard, I'm having a little clearance sale tomorrow morning if any of you fancy popping in for a chat, a biccy and some sewing bargains, so please swing by and say hi.

I've got haberdashery, fabrics, books, equipment, sewing machines, paper and card, plants and all sorts of miscellaneous bits and bobs.

It would be great to see you and hear what you've been making!

Here's a super cool idea to get your little ones sewing..

I bumped into a mum friend in the park and i mentioned that I loved her (6yr old) kid's trousers. I was blown away when she said he had made them himself!

She recommended starting them off with little pieces of card and an un-threaded machine, so that they can make perforated pictures while getting used to controlling the speed and direction.

My 7yo loved it, and actually took to it really quickly. Hoping I may have a little assistant in the making! 🤞
