A Day Nobody Expected 🌧️

Sunday's Hansaviertel market never really happened.

Just as we were ready to welcome visitors, a freak storm hit the market. Within minutes, stalls were collapsing and vendors were fighting wind and rain to save their stock.

Like many others, I lost merchandise despite doing everything I could to protect it. The last two days have been spent washing, drying, sorting, and assessing the damage.

There is no point blaming nature. Sometimes she reminds us that we are not in control.

I am grateful that I made it home safely. Most of my jewellery survived, some of my handmade crochet items and children's dresses did not.

To all the fellow vendors who stood in that storm with me: I know exactly what you went through.

Onwards and upwards.
