Erm...what?! I've been nominated for the 'Small business of the year' award!

I'm in utter shock. Honestly - when I opened the email I honestly thought someone was having a laugh with me.

This means more than you will ever know - I've been hugely questioning myself lately. Whether giving up my career to do this was something I should have done - imposter syndrome kicking me at every angle trying to tell me I'm not moving fast enough, my business isn't growing quick enough and that I made completely the wrong decision.

Then today I get the most beautiful words from a customer who got her bears today AND then the nomination hit my inbox. I think the universe may be trying to give me a sign and I am so here for it.

I may as well have already won with how I feel - thank you. From the bottom of my heart ❤️

The pop up craft shop has a home!
I've got my first home at St Buryan market and we are coming along on the 8th of August! Come along and see me if you want washi tape, colours, card making supplies, sewing bits and pieces and LOTS more! It's a trial run for the pop up craft shop and I'd love to see you there to get some feedback and meet all you crafty ones 🪡❤️

I didn’t leave the security of education just to run a sewing business...

I did it to save myself from a burnout that was slowly consuming me.

I did it to build a life that feels meaningful, creative and present for my family and to create something on my own terms...

I spent so much of my energy on other people. I adored it and felt like I was doing so much good. And I really was. But at a cost that suddenly felt all too much.

So with every new follower, order, late night idea or scribbled note in my ideas book I feel like I'm getting closer to my dream.

Typically, it isn't moving fast enough for me - but I'm slowly learning that it's not about the speed - because I'm finally really excited about what I'm building - no matter how slowly I have to do it so it fits in with my little world 🌍

Ps. I so rarely like photos of me - so have one I can actually stand ;)

I'm looking for a home and I'm so excited - an idea I've been formulating for YEARS is finally starting to come to fruition! Eeek!

My pop up craft shop is looking for a home. I want to find a permanent home from September (once the kiddos go back to school!) and some temporary homes for over the holidays. So I'm reaching out to you - I want to my haberdashery and craft supplies stall to get to the people and communities that need it most (whilst manifesting being popular enough to go to the Royal Cornwall show one year as well 🤣)
