Breathe Organics is about creating finest, most sustainable textile items possible, going back to old mastercrafts, everything is made by hand from raw materials. "My dream is that the quality of natural fibres and hand made work will again be a part of our daily lives and will be the common norm. "

"It is such a pleasure and a heartsong when I go throught the process of hand-spinning wool

from Uk and Cornish sheep breeds. These are then knitted into a new design of mittens ( for example) which upon finishing feel so lovely it is hard to let them go, and I cannot imagine anyone else making item of a lesser quailty or a beaty. "
(Jana Gaborova- founder of Breathe Organics)

Workshops in the Wool Loft studio allow you to build your skills and knowledge about local resoursec and how to cushion your life with your own unique fine creations.

Nowadays people have become overly dependent on modern appliances and would probably find it hard to imagine that they can refrigerate food and beverages without any electrical power. My super dooper 'From Sheep to hat' group at Truro College at Treguy campus. What a wonderful place to learn! There is one more lesson to go but not everyone will be present so we took a pick early. Shame 2 students are not there, but we will try to catch them so we have nice memory of everyone. More photos from this group to follow when they progress with their projects and untill I process the rest of them. Some amazing craft works have been made here! I am very impressed with all individual projects and creative minds works ;) Both groups will be soon meeting at wool Loft to discuss coming to use the space and machinery on regular basis. I am so pleased to find more people passionate about wool and fibres and a wanderous world of traditional and modern craft techniques. And of course creative time in a circle of like minded souls is a very healing place to be in, immersing one self in creative process and get lost in it brings us back to our selves and nature.

This is my gorgeous group 'From Sheep To Hat' course at the Penwith College in Penzance . We have celebrated the end of the course yesterday and everyone has made such beautiful woolly items. I was feeling very happy around this creative bunch who learnt totally new skills of raw wool processing with inquisitive playfulness. We washed, carded and spun the wool. We did introduction to felting. Spindles were used predominantly but everyone also had a go on spinning wheel. The name suggest we all made hats at the end. Some did and what a gorgeous hats they are, some chose to turn their wool into felted piece (artwork or felted handbag), a tapestry weaving, peg loom weaving and a knitted handbag. What a lovely variety approaches and courage these students had to do what they really wanted to do spontaneously. I am looking forward to see them all for a cup of tea very soon. It was such pleasure to teach you all

Green Fair went well! I met lots of lovely people who are as enthusiastic about organic crafts and wool as me and you :) and now I also know that my local folk really like the new knitting yarn designs and towels I make with organic hand woven fairly traded cotton! They were a great success down in Penzance! I am really looking forward to spinning lots of yarns for summer and autumn knitting! I will be also trading regularly in Penzance town from end of May so watch this space for updates. Have a great sunny weekend! x Jana
