We meet on the 2nd Saturday of the month (currently via zoom and in person in Oakbank Community Centre) and on the 1st & 3rd Thursday afternoons for stitch & chat from 2pm (via zoom)

✂️ 🧵 Mend your clothes with Sashiko!

Sashiko is the ancient Japanese art of stitching two pieces of fabric together with a running stitch to enhance their beauty and make them more resistant to wear and tear. Create a stunning piece of upcycled fashion in this workshop at the Lend and Mend Hub on the first floor of the AK Bell Library. 🤞 Don't forget to bring an item of clothing for repair.

⚠️ THE IMPORTANT BIT👇
The session is free and suitable for 16+. Before attending the session, all participants must complete a short Lend and Mend induction to become familiar with the space and equipment. An amazing chance to hear from natural dye legend Su Grierson. Su will deliver stories of colour around the history and use of natural dyes in Scotland 🌿✨ based on the research for her book, The Colour Cauldron. Su’s talk takes place in Crieff on Tuesday 11 August and is part of Strathearn Arts Festival. All welcome. Tickets are available to book now through Culture PKC! 💚
